Job Description

Duties:

  • Putting Management Structures in place for the daily running of the site by the Site Manager
  • Direct communications with the Client Project Management Team to control construction and installation activities.
  • Assisting the Site Manager in Resource Planning and allocation of manpower
  • Lead in Commercial and Contractual Planning of the Project.
  • Monthly Progress Invoice with QS Team
  • Overseeing all Site Instructions / Variations
  • Managing of the Final Measure
  • All Claims Assessment and Calculation
  • Liaising with procurement officer on material requirements
  • Final Handover with the Client Project Management Team, including the following:
  • Quality Control
  • Contractual Handover
  • Safety Handover
  • Construction Handover
  • Commercial Agreement and Final Payment
  • Disestablishment and Close Out
  • Project Close Out Reports

Qualifications and Skills

  • An Electrical Qualification NQF Level 5 and above
  • A Construction Project Management Qualification (Advantageous)
  • Commercial qualifications (Advantageous)
  • SHEQ knowledge.
  • Understanding of basic Finance or Accounting.
  • Drivers’ license.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Prepared to work irregular hours when required.
  • Great knowledge on project management.
  • Diagnostic, fault-finding and solution finding skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Physically fit and in good health to pass site fitness tests.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Must possess negotiation skills.
  • Must be an innovative, creative thinker, flexible and excellent organizer.
  • Can work with less supervision and under extreme pressure
