Duties:

• Measuring electrical drawings issued for construction in order to provide an accurate final account with information at hand.
• Prepare and submit the following:
  • Monthly interim payment applications for certification and payment, which includes sitting down with contract's manager to go through all costs / expenditure and works at hand,
  • Quotations of site instructions and / or variation orders received.
  • Quotations of options available to improve final product.
  • Request suppliers' quotations, adjudicate & place official purchase orders.
  • Sub-contractors claim verification, certification for payment as and when required.
  • Site visits in order to assess: site conditions and any incurring changes caused; additional requested work done needing written approval; monitoring of materials, labour & sub-contractors on site.

Qualifications and Skills

• Quantity Surveying
• An Electrical Qualification / certification (Advantageous)
• Commercial qualifications (Advantageous)
• Understanding of basic Finance or Accounting.
• Drivers’ license.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Prepared to work irregular hours when required.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Physically fit and in good health to pass site fitness tests.
• Must possess negotiation skills.
• Must be an innovative, creative thinker, flexible and excellent organizer.
• Can work with less supervision and under extreme pressure
