Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compilation of reports (basic assessments, scoping reports, environmental impact assessments, audit reports, etc).
  • Assistance with day-to-day administration of projects, including public participation associated with projects.
  • Planning and completing environmental audits.
  • Undertaking on-site environmental monitoring, training and guidance to contractors.
  • Review of contractors’ Quality Control Plans and Construction Method Statements.
  • Compiling proposals and project reports.
  • General office and project related admin if required.

Requirements

  • A degree (BSc or BTech) in Environmental Science or Environmental Management.
  • Suitability for Registration with EAPASA as a Candidate Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP). Registration with EAPASA as a Candidate EAP will be advantageous.
  • Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office Project (advantageous).
  • At least 2-5 years’ post qualification experience in the environmental impact assessment and monitoring field.
  • Must be an effective communicator (personal, phone, writing, email; etc).
  • Own Vehicle
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willingness to travel (where required)
