Key Responsibilities:
Civil Engineer: Design of civil infrastructure for Building services (Internal wet services & External Infrastructure) and Township services (Residential Roads, Bulk Earthworks, Sanitation, Water Reticulation & Stormwater).
Preparation of reports for all stages of project implementation, including inception, feasibility/ business plans, concept & viability, design development, tender & procurement, close-out etc.
Overall contract/project management, including interaction with clients, contractors & other stakeholders, attendance of progress meetings, preparation of payment certificates, dealing with contractual claims etc.
Management of multi-disciplinary teams, junior staff and supervision of drawings, designs, reports etc.
Preparation of tender documentation, including specification writing, bill of quantities and drawings.
Experience in compiling reports for business plans, grant-funding and multi-disciplinary projects.
Experience in liaising with clients, contractors, other disciplines and various other stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
Minimum B.Sc / B Eng. Degree in Civil Engineering.
Candidate must be Professionally registered with ECSA or submitted an application to ECSA
Minimum Six (6) years practical experience in the design of building services, township infrastructure, contract management, quality monitoring, report writing etc.
Experience in managing GCC & JBCC Contracts and dealing with claims.
Advanced Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD .
Experience in Revit, Modelmaker, Bill and iDAS software will be an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English. Proficiency in isiZulu advantageous.
Minimum Code B (08) drivers license
Willing to relocate to Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
